  1. Indonesia cuts November CPO reference price 6.07% to $978.90/t

    The Nov 1–30 reference price is down $63.25 from $1,042.15/t in October. The export duty is set at $124/t and the export levy at 12.5% of the reference price, or $122.36/t.

  2. Kazakhstan triples September sunflower seed exports to China to 9,100 t

    Total sunflower seed exports reached 9,200 t in September, with China taking 99% versus 79% a year earlier. Output of all types of sunflower oil rose 46.6% to 55,700 t.

  3. Canada raises 2026/27 canola ending stocks forecast nearly 32% to 1.979 Mt

    Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada lifted the estimate by 475,000 t from 1.504 Mt in August. Ending stocks for the previous season were raised by 175,000 t to 1.9 Mt.

    CPO futures are expected to trade between RM4,100 and RM4,250 per tonne next week, Bernama reports. Interband's Jim Teh noted Malaysian palm oil stocks rose to 3.51 Mt in September, the highest this year.

  6. Ukraine ships no sunflower oil to India for three months

    Ukraine has not shipped a single tonne of sunflower oil to India in three months and is losing ground in China, Ukroliyaprom head Stepan Kapshuk said. Europe takes about half of Ukraine's sunoil exports, while Argentina, with a sunseed crop of about 8 Mt, is expanding sales to Asia.

  7. Palm oil futures close higher; January contract up RM65 to RM4,681

    Bursa Malaysia's January 2027 CPO contract rose RM65 to RM4,681 a tonne on stronger crude oil, Bernama reported. Physical CPO for November South gained RM60 to RM4,460 a tonne.

  8. Brent rises to $115.74 after Houthi attacks, set for 14% monthly gain

    Brent rose 0.75% to $115.74 a barrel early on Oct 30 and WTI gained 0.71% to $102.72, after the Houthis said they attacked Saudi sites including the Ras Tanura refinery. Brent is on course for a nearly 14% gain in October.

  9. Ukraine's oilseed harvest reaches 16.91 Mt; sunflower up 17.5% at 9.83 Mt

    As of Oct 27 Ukraine had harvested 16.91 Mt of major oilseeds, up 11.7% y/y, per the agriculture ministry: sunflower 9.83 Mt from 85% of the area at 22.1 c/ha, rapeseed 3.90 Mt (+17.4%), soybeans 3.18 Mt (-19.2%).

  10. Malaysia finance ministry reviews CPO export tax suspension

    Plantation Minister Noraini Ahmad told parliament the finance ministry is reviewing a proposal to temporarily suspend crude palm oil export taxes and the decision rests with it. Stocks hit a record 3.51 million tonnes in September; Malaysia waived the duty for six months in 2020.

  11. Russian exporters switch to sunoil and meal for Kazakhstan after seed curbs

    Kazakhstan's Grain Union said the shift could intensify competition; Kazakh sunflower seed prices fell from 200,000–210,000 to 160,000–165,000 tenge/t in a month. Russia's sunflower oil export forecast was cut from 3.5 Mt to 2.8–3 Mt.
